Red Velvet Cake Frosting/Cream Cheese Frosting

8oz pkg cream cheese (room temp)
1/2c butter, also room temp
1 lb confectionary sugar
1t vanilla

-beat butter and cream cheese until fluffy on low speed
-add sugar and vanilla
-if too soft, chill 10 minutes before using
